If music be the food of love - play on

Hi and welcome to my new and premier website www.anothercountrysong.com, Please feel free to browse around at your leisure, you will find that my songs lean loosely into the country/folk/blues category. I’d like to quote my good friend and music journalist Pete Smith who, among other outlets writes for Country Music Roundup, Britain’s premier country music magazine.

‘Terry blends country with folk a touch of the blues with occasional punk audacity to present an interesting and entertaining programme that sits comfortably alongside anything in the current Texas scene’.

Quite likely the most accurate and honest appraisal of my song writing to date, thank you Peter.

While I’m at it I would also like to thank Doug Parish way down in dear old Devon for playing my songs on your radio programmes. The past two or three years have been most interesting and highly creative, culminating in my long desired wish to launch this website to highlight my work, also its sister site www.alamosong.com. Not all of these albums that you preview are for sale. But I am pleased to announce that quite a lot of the now unavailable songs from my early recordings in the 70’s and 80’s are featured in my two anthologies. Part 1 is available now and part 2 will be released in the very near future. For me this website is a new and exciting development and I look forward to my ongoing creative quest with renewed vigour. Many people have contributed to and accompanied me on my strange journey. Without them, none of this would have happened; in particular I would like to single out the following for special praise, Rob Van Spyk, Brian Balster, Colin Johnson, Dave Simpson, Ryan Sharp, Rebecka Larter, and for the artwork Judy Billson, Fiona Friend, Sarah Friend and Alan Hunnisett and last but not least Alter Ego, John Saltwell, Jason Ward, Cheryl Murphy, Martin Langshaw and Andrew Simms for bringing my music to life.

Any comments that you may care to make about this website, the songs or the albums will be most welcome. I am passionate about my songs and I hope that comes across in the recordings. Everything about my CD’s is important to me. The people I choose to work with, down to the artwork and the album notes. I hope you enjoy listening to them and as things develop I shall update the site and keep you all informed.

Farewell for now
